Facilitators

ENGR, JOSEPH OSOMETSO ACHEOA

Engr Acheoa is a seasoned directional drilling engineer with over 19 years of continuous drilling engineering and operational experience, out of which about 14 years were spent in International operations majoring in directional and horizontal wells drilling. Engr Acheoa started his career with Drillog-Petrodynamics between 2001-2006 during which he was involved in the design, execution, and supervision of offshore Horizontal Drilling wells in clustered platforms for Shell, Exxon Mobil and Chevron-Texaco. He was also involved in open and cased holes sidetracks and multilaterals drilling in Nigeria before joining Schlumberger later in 2006 for assignments in Middle East and Asia operations.

In his more than 14 years of international assignment, Engr Joseph Acheoa achieved some major records such as drilling the longest horizontal drain section ever drilled in the United Arab Emirate (25,300ft), the longest drilled interval in Iran with a single bit run, and the first successful Casing While Drilling operation in the UAE, building inclination to 82 deg.

Engr Acheoa has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan, and has also attended several Technical, HSE, and Management courses locally and overseas in course of his career.
