The Oil and gas industry is known for its high standards of safety and risk management. The risks are ever present:  blow-outs, fire, explosion, gas leakages, kidnappings, vandalization, structural failures, etc.  They all have the potential to lead to accidents and other consequential events that may pose untold challenges to successful project execution, and exposing operators, financiers, insurers and workmen to varying degrees of unstable outcomes.
